     Archibald Hamilton was the son of Reverend Hans Hamilton and Janet Denham.^1,3 He married Rachel Carmichael, daughter of Walter Carmichael of Park and Hyndford and Grizel Carmichael.⁴
     He lived at Halcraig, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.³

     Reverend Hans Hamilton was born in 1536.² He was the son of Archibald Hamilton, 5th of Raploch and Margaret Hamilton.^3,4 He married Janet Denham, daughter of James Denham of West Shields.² He died on 30 May 1608.⁵
     He was also known as John.³ He was the Vicar between 1563 and 1608 at Dunlop, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.⁶

     James Hamilton, 1st Viscount Claneboye was born in 1559 at Dunlop, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Reverend Hans Hamilton and Janet Denham.^1,2 He and Penelope Cook were divorced.³ He married, secondly, Penelope Cook.⁴ He married, thirdly, Jane Philipps, daughter of Sir John Philipps, 1st Bt. and Anne Perrot.⁵ He married, firstly, Hon. Ursula Brabazon, daughter of Edward Brabazon, 1st Lord Brabazon, Baron of Ardee and Mary Smythe.⁴ He died on 24 January 1643/44.³ He was buried at Bangor, County Down, Ireland^G.⁴
     In 1587 he went to Ireland with Sir James Fullerton.⁶ He was a Fellow in 1593 at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.⁶ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1595 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)⁶ He was appointed Knight on 14 November 1609 at Royston, Hertfordshire, England^G.⁶ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Down between 1613 and 1615.⁶ He was a Commissioner for the plantation of Longford in 1619.⁶ He was created 1st Viscount Claneboye, co. Down [Ireland] on 4 May 1622.⁴ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 14 July 1634.⁶ He was commander of the troop of Horse in April 1642 against Irish rebels.⁶ He lived at Bangor, County Down, Ireland^G.⁶

     James Stevenson Blackwood, 2nd Baron Dufferin and Claneboye was born on 8 July 1755.¹ He was the son of Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Bt. and Dorcas Stevenson, Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye.¹ He married Hon. Anne Dorothea Foster, daughter of John Foster, 1st Baron Oriel of Ferrard and Margarita Amelia Burgh, Viscountess Ferrard, on 15 November 1801.² He died on 8 August 1836 at age 81, without issue.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Killyleagh [Ireland] between 1788 and 1800.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Blackwood, of Ballyleidy, co. Down [I., 1763] on 27 February 1799.¹ In 1800 he was granted £15,000 compensation for the seat’s being disenfranchised on the Union of British and Irish Parliaments, a measure he supported (unlike his father) and as reward his request that his mother be ennobled was granted.² He held the office of Sheriff of County Down in 1804.² He held the office of Sheriff of County Down in 1804.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Robert Blackwood was born in 1752.¹ He was the son of Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Bt. and Dorcas Stevenson, Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye.¹ He died on 31 January 1785 at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G, from a fall from his horse, unmarried.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Killyleagh [Ireland] between 1776 and 1785.¹

     Robert Norman William Blake, Baron Blake was born on 23 December 1916.¹ He was the son of William Joseph Blake and Norah Lindley Daynes.¹ He married Patricia Mary Waters, daughter of Thomas Richard Waters, in 1953.¹ He died on 20 September 2003 at age 86.²
