Sir Ralph Abercromby Anstruther of Balcaskie, 4th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Anstruther, of Wrae, co. Linlithgow [N.S., 1694] on 2 August 1818.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1822 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1 He held the office of Lord Rector of the University of St. Andrew’s in 1859.1
