     Sir Andrew Clarence Francis Armstrong, 6th Bt. was born on 1 May 1907.¹ He was the son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise.¹ He married, firstly, Phyllis Marguerite Waithman, daughter of Lt.-Col. Roland Henry Waithman, on 8 January 1930.¹ He married, secondly, Laurel May Stuart, daughter of Alfred Wellington Stuart, on 17 June 1932.¹ He died on 21 December 1997 at age 90.¹
     He was educated at St. Edmund’s, Ware, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a colonial administrator between 1929 and 1961.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1959.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Armstrong, of Gallen Priory, King’s Co. [U.K., 1841] on 27 January 1987.¹

     Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong was born on 23 February 1879.¹ He was the son of Captain Andrew Charles Armstrong and Alice Maria Murdoch.¹ He married Mary Frances Cruise, daughter of Sir Francis Richard Cruise, on 10 February 1906.¹ He died on 29 March 1923 at age 44.¹
     He was Keeper of Irish Antiquities between 1914 and 1923 at National Museum, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was admitted to Member, Royal Irish Academy (M.R.I.A.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)¹ He held the office of Pursivant of Arms in 1923.¹

     Captain Andrew Charles Armstrong was born on 5 February 1845.¹ He was the son of Sir Andrew Armstrong, 1st Bt. and Frances Fullerton.¹ He married, firstly, Alice Maria Murdoch, daughter of Sir Thomas William Clinton Murdoch, on 5 February 1874.¹ He married, secondly, Annie Beatrice Lorimer, daughter of John Lorimer, on 25 July 1888.² He died on 5 October 1895 at age 50.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Prince of Wale’s Leinster Regiment.¹

     Sir Andrew Armstrong, 1st Bt. was born on 19 October 1785.¹ He was the son of Edmund Armstrong and Elizabeth Trench.¹ He married Frances Fullerton, daughter of George Alexander Fullerton, on 1 January 1835.¹ He died on 27 January 1863 at age 77.¹
     He held the office of High Sheriff of King’s County in 1811.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s County Militia.¹ He held the office of Receiver-General of Stamp Duties.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of King’s County in 1836.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1841 and 1852.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Armstrong, of Gallen Priory, King’s Co. [U.K.] on 18 September 1841.¹

     Edmund Armstrong was born on 14 December 1754.¹ He was the son of Andrew Armstrong and Constance Maria Pigott.¹ He married Elizabeth Trench, daughter of Frederick Trench and Mary Sadleir, on 4 February 1783.¹ He died on 12 December 1827 at age 72.¹
     He was a barrister in 1779.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of King’s County in 1818.¹ He lived at Gallen, County Offaly, Ireland^G.¹
