     From 10 February 1906, her married name became Armstrong.¹

     Sir Francis Richard Cruise was born in 1834 at Mountjoy Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² He died on 26 February 1912.²
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1861 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)^1,2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (F.R.C.P.I.) in 1864.² He was appointed Knight in 1896.² He was inventor of the endoscope.² He lived at 93 Merrion Square West, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Phyllis Marguerite Waithman was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Roland Henry Waithman.¹ She married Sir Andrew Clarence Francis Armstrong, 6th Bt., son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise, on 8 January 1930.¹ She died on 18 January 1930.¹
     From 8 January 1930, her married name became Armstrong.¹

     Lt.-Col. Roland Henry Waithman was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Laurel May Stuart was the daughter of Alfred Wellington Stuart.¹ She married Sir Andrew Clarence Francis Armstrong, 6th Bt., son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise, on 17 June 1932.¹ She died in 1988.¹
     From 17 June 1932, her married name became Armstrong.¹

     Alfred Wellington Stuart lived at Lakeba, Fiji^G.¹

     Andrew Michael Kingsley Armstrong was born on 30 June 1935.¹ He was the son of Sir Andrew Clarence Francis Armstrong, 6th Bt. and Laurel May Stuart.¹ He died on 23 August 1969 at age 34.¹
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹

     Edmund Charles Mark Armstrong was born on 17 February 1914.¹ He was the son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise.¹ He married, firstly, Patricia Phyllis Vassall Adams, daughter of Richard Cecil Vassall Adams, on 14 October 1939.¹ He and Patricia Phyllis Vassall Adams were divorced in 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Dorice Austin, daughter of William Harold Austin, on 17 August 1951.¹ He died on 3 September 2001 at age 87.¹
     Edmund Charles Mark Armstrong usually went by his middle name of Mark.¹ He was given the name of Edmund Clarence Charles at birth.¹ He was educated at St. Edmund’s, Ware, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1935 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was a civil servant in the Department of Defence between 1945 and 1977.¹ In 1947 his name was legally changed to Edmund Charles Mark Armstrong by Deed Poll.¹

     Patricia Phyllis Vassall Adams is the daughter of Richard Cecil Vassall Adams.² She married Edmund Charles Mark Armstrong, son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise, on 14 October 1939.¹ She and Edmund Charles Mark Armstrong were divorced in 1949.¹
     From 14 October 1939, her married name became Armstrong.¹
