Lady Anna Maria Brudenell was born in 1644.3 She was the daughter of Robert Brudenell, 2nd Earl of Cardigan and Anne Savage.1 She married, firstly, Francis Talbot, 11th Earl of Shrewsbury, son of John Talbot, 10th Earl of Shrewsbury and Mary Fortescue, on 10 January 1658/59.4 She married, secondly, George Rodney Brydges, son of Sir Thomas Brydges and Anne Rodney, before 24 June 1677.5 She died in 1702.
From 10 January 1658/59, her married name became Talbot. After her marriage, Lady Anna Maria Brudenell was styled as Countess of Shrewsbury on 10 January 1658/59. She and George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham were associated circa 1667.4 From before 24 June 1677, her married name became Brydges.

Robert Brudenell, 2nd Earl of Cardigan1

Robert Brudenell, 2nd Earl of Cardigan was born on 5 March 1607.1 He was the son of Thomas Brudenell, 1st Earl of Cardigan and Mary Tresham.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Mary Constable, daughter of Henry Constable, 1st Viscount Dunbar.1 He married, secondly, Anne Savage, daughter of Thomas Savage, 1st Viscount Savage of Rocksavage and Elizabeth Darcy, Countess Rivers.3 He died on 16 July 1703 at age 96.3
He became a Roman Catholic.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Brudenell of Stonton, co. Leicester [E., 1628] on 16 September 1663.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Brudenell, of Deene, co. Northampton [E., 1611] on 16 September 1663.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Cardigan [E., 1661] on 16 September 1663.1

Charles Talbot, 1st and last Duke of Shrewsbury was born on 24 July 1660.1 He was the son of Francis Talbot, 11th Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Anna Maria Brudenell.1 He married Adelhida Palliotti, daughter of unknown Palliotti, Marchese di Palliotti and Maria Cristina Dudley, on 9 September 1705.1 He died on 1 February 1717/18 at age 57, without issue.1
He succeeded as the 12th Earl of Waterford [I., 1446] on 16 March 1667/68.1 He succeeded as the 12th Earl of Shrewsbury [E., 1442] on 16 March 1667/68.1 He fought in the Flanders Campaign in 1678.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire between 1681 and 1687.1 He was Colonel of the 7th Horse between January 1685 and 1686/87.1 In 1688 he was one of the seven magnates who invited King William III to England.1 He held the office of Secretary of State for the North from February 1688/89 to 1690.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) from February 1688/89 to 1692.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire from March 1688/89 to 1691.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire from March 1688/89 to February 1717/18.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Anglesey, Caernarvonshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Herefordshire, Merionethshire and Montgomeryshire in 1694.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1694.1 He held the office of Secretary of State for the South from March 1693/94 to 1698.1 He was created 1st Marquess of Alton, co. On his death, the Dukedom and Marquessate became extinct, but the Earldom etc., reverted to his cousin, Gilbert, son of the 10th Earl.

Adelhida Palliotti was born in 1680.1 She was the daughter of unknown Palliotti, Marchese di Palliotti and Maria Cristina Dudley.2 She married Charles Talbot, 1st and last Duke of Shrewsbury, son of Francis Talbot, 11th Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Anna Maria Brudenell, on 9 September 1705.2 She died in 1726.1
Her married name became Roffeni.2 From 9 September 1705, her married name became Talbot. After her marriage, Adelhida Palliotti was styled as Duchess of Talbot on 9 September 1705.
