     Charles Henry John Benedict Crofton Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, 22nd Earl of Shrewsbury was born on 18 December 1952.¹ He is the son of John George Charles Henry Alton Alexander Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, 21st Earl of Shrewsbury and Nadine Muriel Crofton-Atkins.¹ He married Deborah Jane Hutchinson, daughter of Noel S. Hutchinson, on 28 December 1973.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He held the office of Hereditary Lord High Steward of Ireland.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baron Talbot of Hensol, co. Glamorgan [G.B., 1733] on 12 November 1980.³ He succeeded as the 22nd Earl of Waterford [I., 1446] on 12 November 1980.³ He succeeded as the 7th Earl Talbot of Hensol, co. Glamorgan [G.B., 1784] on 12 November 1980.³ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Ingestre, co. Stafford [G.B., 1784] on 12 November 1980.³ He succeeded as the 22nd Earl of Shrewsbury [E., 1442] on 12 November 1980.³ He was director of Britannia Building Society between 1984 and 1992.¹ He held the office of Chancellor of Wolverhampton University in 1993.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire in 1994.¹

     Hon. John Chetwynd-Talbot was born on 31 May 1806.² He was the son of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot, 2nd Earl Talbot of Hensol and Frances Thomasine Lambart.³ He married Hon. Caroline Jane Wharncliffe, daughter of James Archibald Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 1st Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley and Lady Caroline Elizabeth Mary Crichton, on 30 August 1830.³ He died on 26 May 1852 at age 45.³
     He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)¹ He was Attorney-General to HRH The Prince of Wales.³ He held the office of Recorder of Windsor.³

     Hon. Caroline Jane Wharncliffe was the daughter of James Archibald Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 1st Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley and Lady Caroline Elizabeth Mary Crichton.² She married Hon. John Chetwynd-Talbot, son of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot, 2nd Earl Talbot of Hensol and Frances Thomasine Lambart, on 30 August 1830.¹ She died on 12 June 1876.¹
     Her married name became Chetwynd-Talbot.

     Rt. Rev. Edward Stuart Talbot was born on 19 February 1844.² He was the son of Hon. John Chetwynd-Talbot and Hon. Caroline Jane Wharncliffe.^1,2 He married Hon. Lavinia Lyttelton, daughter of George William Lyttelton, 4th Lord Lyttelton, Baron of Frankley and Mary Glynne, on 29 June 1870.¹ He died on 30 January 1934 at age 89.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of Bishop of Winchester between 1911 and 1923.¹

     Edward Talbot, 8th Earl of Shrewsbury was baptised on 25 February 1561.² He was the son of George Talbot, 6th Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Gertrude Manners.³ He married Joane Ogle, daughter of Cuthbert Ogle, 7th Baron Ogle, in 1583.² He died on 8 February 1617 at age 55, without issue.²
     He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland between 1586 and October 1587.² He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Shrewsbury [E., 1442] on 8 May 1616.³ He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Waterford [I., 1446] on 8 May 1616.³

     Joane Ogle was the daughter of Cuthbert Ogle, 7th Baron Ogle. She married Edward Talbot, 8th Earl of Shrewsbury, son of George Talbot, 6th Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Gertrude Manners, in 1583.¹ She died circa 4 January 1625/26.¹ She was buried on 7 January 1625/26.¹
     Her married name became Talbot. After her marriage, Joane Ogle was styled as Countess of Shrewsbury on 8 May 1616.

     Elizabeth Talbot was the daughter of Sir Gilbert Talbot and Anne Paston.^1,2 She married Sir John Lyttelton, son of Sir William Lyttelton and Ellyn Walsh.¹
     Her married name became Lyttelton.¹

     Sir Humphrey Talbot was the son of Sir Gilbert Talbot and Elizabeth Greystoke.¹ He died at Holy Land^G, without issue.¹

     Sir John Talbot was the son of Sir John Talbot and Frances Gifford.¹ He married, firstly, Catherine Petre, daughter of Sir William Petre and Anne Browne.² He married, secondly, Margaret Windsor, daughter of Henry Windsor, 5th Lord Windsor and Anne Rivett.¹
     He lived at Grafton, Northamptonshire, England.¹

     Catherine Petre was the daughter of Sir William Petre and Anne Browne.² She married Sir John Talbot, son of Sir John Talbot and Frances Gifford.²
     Her married name became Talbot.²
