     Sir James John Aird, 5th Bt. was born on 12 June 1978.¹ He is the son of Sir George John Aird, 4th Bt. and Margaret Elizabeth Muir.¹ He married Dr. Tara Clare Harrop, daughter of Dr. Brian Harrop, in 2007.²
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Aird, of Hyde Park Terrace, Paddington, London [U.K., 1901] on 4 May 2023.

     Rebecca Aird was born on 22 July 1970.¹ She is the daughter of Sir George John Aird, 4th Bt. and Margaret Elizabeth Muir.¹ She married Peter Hugh Thwaites, son of Hugh Thwaites, on 4 December 1999.¹
     From 4 December 1999, her married name became Thwaites.¹

     Peter Hugh Thwaites is the son of Hugh Thwaites.¹ He married Rebecca Aird, daughter of Sir George John Aird, 4th Bt. and Margaret Elizabeth Muir, on 4 December 1999.¹

     Belinda Elizabeth Aird was born on 14 May 1972.¹ She is the daughter of Sir George John Aird, 4th Bt. and Margaret Elizabeth Muir.¹

     Sir John Aird, 1st Bt. was born on 3 December 1833.¹ He was the son of John Aird and Agnes Bennett.¹ He married Sarah Smith, daughter of Benjamin Smith, on 6 September 1855.¹ He died on 6 January 1911 at age 77.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Paddington North between 1887 and 1906.¹ He held the office of Commissioner of the Lieutenancy of the City of London.² He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Engineer and Railway Staff Corps, Royal Engineers.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Paddington between 1900 and 1901.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Aird, of Hyde Park Terrace, Paddington, London [U.K.] on 5 March 1901.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.³
     

     John Aird was born in 1806.¹ He was the son of John Aird.¹ He married Agnes Bennett, daughter of Charles Bennett, on 2 February 1831.¹ He died on 9 April 1876.¹
     He was founder of John Aird & Sons, construction engineers in 1845.¹ He lived at Great Cumberland Place, London, England^G.¹

     John Aird died in 1823.¹
     He lived at Fortrose, Ross-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Alexander Aird is the son of John Aird.¹

     Agnes Bennett was the daughter of Charles Bennett.¹ She married John Aird, son of John Aird, on 2 February 1831.¹ She died on 29 July 1869.¹
