Thomas Wontner1 
He was registered as a Freeman and Liveryman of the City of London in 1771.1 In 1772 he founded the firm of Thomas Wontner & Sons. He was associated with the founding of the British & Foreign Bible Society and the London Missionary Society, and active with William Wilberforce in the abolition of slavery.1 He was Controller of the Countess of Huntingdon’s Chapel in the City between 1782 and 1823.1 He was registered as a Master of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers in 1793.1 He was a Churchwarden in 1795 at St. Botolph’s Church, Aldgate, London, EnglandG.1
