     Sir Duncan Campbell of Auchinbreck, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Dugald Campbell of Auchinbreck, 1st Bt. and Mary Erskine.^2,3 He married, firstly, Margaret Blair, daughter of Brice Blair of Blair, in 1620.¹ He married, secondly, unknown daughter Newark, daughter of unknown Maxwell of Newark, in 1628.¹ He married, thirdly, Jean Colquhoun, daughter of Sir Alexander Colquhoun of Luss and Helen Buchanan, before 1645.⁴ He died in 1645 at Inverlochy, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G, murdered with Argyll’s troops, after being taken prisoner.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Argyllshire [Scotland] between 1628 and 1633.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Argyllshire [Scotland] between 1639 and 1641.³ He was commander of the Argyll’s troops in Ireland 1641 in 1641 taking Dunluce Castle, County Antrim.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Campbell, of Auchinbreck [N.S., 1628] in 1641.¹ He held the office of Governor of Rathlin Island.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Argyllshire [Scotland] in 1643.³

     Catherine Montgomery was born circa 1663.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Montgomery, 1st Earl of Mount Alexander and Hon. Catherine Jones.¹ She married Sir Francis Hamilton, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Charles Hamilton, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Sempill, circa 1685.¹ She died on 6 January 1692.¹
     From circa 1685, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Hugh Montgomery, 1st Earl of Mount Alexander was born in 1623.² He was the son of Hugh Montgomery, 2nd Viscount Montgomery of the Great Ardes and Jean Alexander.^3,2 He married, firstly, Mary Moore, daughter of Charles Moore, 2nd Viscount Moore of Drogheda.² He married Hon. Catherine Jones, daughter of Arthur Jones, 2nd Viscount Ranelagh and Lady Catherine Boyle.¹ He died on 15 September 1663 at Dromore, County Down, Ireland.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Montgomery in 1642. He held the office of Master of Ordnance in Ireland on 12 September 1660.² He gained the title of 1st Earl of Mount Alexander on 20 June 1661.¹

     Hon. Catherine Jones was the daughter of Arthur Jones, 2nd Viscount Ranelagh and Lady Catherine Boyle.¹ She married Sir William Parsons, 2nd Bt., son of Richard Parsons and Lettice Loftus.² She married Hugh Montgomery, 1st Earl of Mount Alexander, son of Hugh Montgomery, 2nd Viscount Montgomery of the Great Ardes and Jean Alexander.¹
     Her married name became Parsons.²

     Christopher Graham Stainforth is the son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Herbert Stainforth.¹ He married Juliet Sarah Abel Smith, daughter of Brigadier Sir Alexander Abel Smith and Henriette Alice Cadogan, in 1979.¹

     Anne Hamilton is the daughter of William Hamilton.¹

     William Hamilton lived at Hamilton’s Bawn, County Cavan, Ireland^G.¹

     Claud Hamilton of Broomhill was the son of John Hamilton, 1st of Broomhill and Elizabeth Hamilton of Udston.^2,3 He married Margaret Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton of Kilbrackmont.² He died in 1605.¹

     Margaret Hamilton is the daughter of James Hamilton of Kilbrackmont.¹ She married Claud Hamilton of Broomhill, son of John Hamilton, 1st of Broomhill and Elizabeth Hamilton of Udston.²

     James Hamilton of Kilbrackmont lived at Kirkbrackmont, Fife, Scotland^G.¹
