He succeeded as the 8th Lord Wake [E., 1295] on 8 January 1399/0.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Kent [E., 1360] on 8 January 1399/0.1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Kent [E., 1321] on 8 January 1399/0.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) circa 1404.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset in 1407.2 He held the office of Admiral of the Fleet of the West and North in 1407.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex in 1406/7.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey in 1406/7.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1406/7.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent in 1406/7.2 On his death, his earldom(s) expired and his barony fell into abeyance between his sisters.2

Walter FitzWalter, 4th Lord FitzWalter1 
He succeeded as the 4th Lord FitzWalter [E., 1295] on 18 October 1361.1 In 1370 he campaigned in France during Hundred Years , about which time he was taken by the French and held to ransom.2 In November 1377 a commander of the fleet in the abortive attack on the Spanish fleet at Sluys.2 He was Marshal of the Army of the in the invasion of Brittany in 1380/81.2 He fought in the Siege of Nantes.2
