Douglas Fitzgerald McConnel, on 28 January 1944 at St. George’s Cathedral, Jerusalem, IsraelG.4 He died on 31 December 2014 at age 99 at Stratfield Saye House, Stratfield Saye, Hampshire, England.5

After her marriage, Diana Ruth McConnel was styled as Marchioness of Douro on 28 January 1944.6 From 28 January 1944, her married name became Wellesley.
