     Yekaterina Ivanovna Romanov was born on 20 October 1691 at Moscow, Russia.¹ She was the daughter of Ivan V Alekseyevich Romanov, Tsar of Russia and Proscovia Feodorovna Saltykova. She married Karl Leopold Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, son of Friedrich I Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Christine Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Hessen-Homburg, on 19 April 1716 at Danzig, Poland.^2,1 She and Karl Leopold Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin were separated in 1722.¹ She died on 14 June 1733 at age 41 at St. Petersburg, Russia.^2,1

     Karl Leopold Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin was born on 26 November 1678. He was the son of Friedrich I Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Christine Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Hessen-Homburg.² He married, firstly, Sophie Hedwig von Nassau-Dietz, daughter of Heinrich Kasimir Fürst von Nassau-Dietz and Henriette Amalie Marie Prinzessin von Anhalt-Dessau, on 27 May 1708 at Leeuwarden, The Netherlands^G.^3,4 He married, secondly, Yekaterina Ivanovna Romanov, daughter of Ivan V Alekseyevich Romanov, Tsar of Russia and Proscovia Feodorovna Saltykova, on 19 April 1716 at Danzig, Poland.^1,2 He and Sophie Hedwig von Nassau-Dietz were divorced on 2 June 1710 at Greifsfeld^G.^3,4 He and Yekaterina Ivanovna Romanov were separated in 1722.² He died on 28 November 1747 at age 69.^1,2

     Elisabeth Karoline Christine von Mecklenburg-Schwerin was born on 18 December 1718 at Rostock, Poland^G. She was the daughter of Karl Leopold Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Yekaterina Ivanovna Romanov. She married Anton Ulrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, son of Ferdinand Albrecht II Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Antoinette Amalie Prinzessin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, on 14 July 1739 at St. Petersburg, Russia^G. She died on 19 March 1746 at age 27 at Cholomorgy, Russia^G.
     From 14 July 1739, her married name became Anna Leopoldovna Romanov. She held the office of Regent of Russia from 1740 to 1741.¹

     Anton Ulrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 28 August 1714 at Bevern, Germany^G. He was the son of Ferdinand Albrecht II Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Antoinette Amalie Prinzessin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel. He married Elisabeth Karoline Christine von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, daughter of Karl Leopold Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Yekaterina Ivanovna Romanov, on 14 July 1739 at St. Petersburg, Russia^G. He died on 4 May 1774 at age 59 at Cholmorogy b., Archangelsk, Russia^G.
     He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (styled as Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.) He gained the rank of Grand Admiral in the Russian Imperial Navy.

     Ivan VI Romanov, Tsar of Russia was born on 23 August 1740. He was the son of Anton Ulrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Elisabeth Karoline Christine von Mecklenburg-Schwerin. He died on 16 July 1764 at age 23 at Schlüsselburg, Germany^G, assassinated in prison.¹
     Ivan VI Romanov, Tsar of Russia also went by the nick-name of Ivan ‘the Feeble’ von. He gained the title of Tsar Ivan VI of Russia on 23 August 1740. He was deposed as Tsar of Russia in 1741. He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.

     Katherina Alexiovna Romanov was born on 13 March 1669. She was the daughter of Alexis I Mikhailovich Romanov, Tsar of Russia and Maria Iliyinicha Miloslavskaya. She died on 1 May 1718 at age 49.

     Sophia Alexiovna Romanov was born on 17 September 1657. She was the daughter of Alexis I Mikhailovich Romanov, Tsar of Russia and Maria Iliyinicha Miloslavskaya. She died on 4 July 1704 at age 46.
     She held the office of Regent of Russia between 1682 and 1689.¹

     Kirill Poleukhtevitch Narischkine was born in 1623. He was the son of Palukht Narischkine.¹ He died in 1691.

     Jacquetta de Luxembourg was born circa 1416.² She was the daughter of Pierre I de Luxembourg, Comte de St. Pol, Brienne et Conservan and Margherita del Balzo.^1,2 She married, firstly, John of Lancaster, Duke of Bedford, son of Henry IV, King of England and Lady Mary de Bohun, on 22 April 1433 at Bishops Palace, Thérouanne, Flanders, France^G.² She married Richard Wydevill, 1st Earl Rivers, son of Richard Wydevill and Joan Bedlisgate, between 16 September 1435 and 23 March 1436.² She died on 30 May 1472.³
     She was also known as Jacquetta zu St. Pol. She was appointed Lady Companion, Order of the Garter (L.G.) in 1435.³ From circa 1436, her married name became Wydevill. After her marriage, Jacquetta de Luxembourg was styled as Duchess of Bedford.

     Katherine Roët was born circa 1350.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Payne Roët.² She married, firstly, Sir Hugh Swynford before 1367 at St. Clement Danes Church, The Strand, London, England^G.¹ She married, secondly, John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, son of Edward III, King of England and Philippe d‘Avesnes, on 13 January 1396 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England^G. She died on 10 May 1403 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ She was buried at Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹
     From before 1367, her married name became Swynford.¹ She and John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster were associated between 1371 and 1372.¹ She was appointed Lady Companion, Order of the Garter (L.G.) in 1388.¹ Her married name became Beaufort.
