Anton Ulrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 28 August 1714 at Bevern, GermanyG. He was the son of Ferdinand Albrecht II Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Antoinette Amalie Prinzessin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel. He married Elisabeth Karoline Christine von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, daughter of Karl Leopold Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Yekaterina Ivanovna Romanov, on 14 July 1739 at St. Petersburg, RussiaG. He died on 4 May 1774 at age 59 at Cholmorogy b., Archangelsk, RussiaG.
He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (styled as Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.) He gained the rank of Grand Admiral in the Russian Imperial Navy.
