Kilkenny [I., 1733] on 15 September 1898.2 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Castlecuffe [I., 1793] on 15 September 1898.2 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Desart, co. Kilkenny [I., 1781] on 15 September 1898.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1899.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.)2 He was created 1st Baron Desart [U.K.] on 12 May 1909.2
On his death, all of his titles became extinct.2
