She was the daughter of Major James Bertram Falkner Cartland and Mary Hamilton Scobell.¹ She married, firstly, Captain Alexander George McCorquodale, son of Alexander Cowan McCorquodale and Maggie Janet Cox, on 23 April 1927.¹ She and Captain Alexander George McCorquodale were divorced in 1932.¹ She married, secondly, Hugh McCorquodale, son of Harold McCorquodale and Grace Granville, on 28 December 1936 at Guildhall, London, England^G.¹ She died on 21 May 2000 at age 98.³
     Mary Barbara Hamilton Cartland usually went by her middle name of Barbara.¹ From 23 April 1927, her married name became McCorquodale. She was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)¹ She was an author of romance novels. She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.)⁴ She wrote the book The Love Pirate, published 1977.⁵

     Robert Fellowes, Baron Fellowes was born on 11 December 1941.³ He is the son of Sir William Albemarle Fellowes and Jane Charlotte Ferguson.⁴ He married Lady Cynthia Jane Spencer, daughter of Edward John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer and Hon. Frances Ruth Burke Roche, in March 1978 at London, England^G.¹
     He was director of Allen Harvey & Ross Ltd, discount brokers and bankers between 1968 and 1977.³ He was Assistant Private Secretary to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1977 and 1986.³ He held the office of Deputy Private Secretary to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1986 and 1990.³ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1989.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1990.¹ He held the office of Private Secretary to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1990 and 1999.³ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1991.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1996.⁵ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1998.¹ He was a director of South African Breweries in 1999.³ He was awarded the Queens’ Service Order (Q.S.O.) in 1999.³ He was created Baron Fellowes, of Shotesham in the County of Norfolk [U.K. Life Peer] on 12 July 1999.⁵

     Hon. Laura Jane Fellowes was born on 19 July 1980.¹ She is the daughter of Robert Fellowes, Baron Fellowes and Lady Cynthia Jane Spencer.³ She married Nicholas Peter Pettman, son of Peter David Pettman and Jennifer Mosse, on 30 May 2009 at Snettisham, Norfolk, England.⁴
     Hon. Laura Jane Fellowes used the pen-name of Mave Fellowes.⁴ From 30 May 2009, her married name became Pettman.⁴

     Neil Edmund McCorquodale was born in 1951.² He is the son of Alastair McCorquodale and Rosemary Sybil Turnor.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth Sarah Lavinia Spencer, daughter of Edward John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer and Hon. Frances Ruth Burke Roche, on 17 May 1980 at Northamptonshire, England^G.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1987.¹

     Sir William Albemarle Fellowes was born on 10 September 1899. He was the son of Charles Arthur Fellowes and Mary Wingfield Cator.² He married Jane Charlotte Ferguson, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Algernon Francis Holford Ferguson and Hon. Margaret Brand, on 2 October 1934.¹ He died on 6 April 1986 at age 86.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)¹

     Colonel Andrew Henry Ferguson was born on 10 October 1899.² He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Algernon Francis Holford Ferguson and Hon. Margaret Brand.^1,2 He married Marian Louisa Montagu Douglas Scott, daughter of Lt.-Col. Lord Herbert Andrew Montagu Douglas Scott and Marie Josephine Edwards, on 1 November 1927 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London, England.^1,3 He died on 4 August 1966 at age 66 at Winchester, Hampshire, England.^1,3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Life Guards.¹ In 1948 he established the Dummanor cattle herd.²

     Marian Louisa Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 16 June 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Lord Herbert Andrew Montagu Douglas Scott and Marie Josephine Edwards.¹ She married, firstly, Colonel Andrew Henry Ferguson, son of Brig.-Gen. Algernon Francis Holford Ferguson and Hon. Margaret Brand, on 1 November 1927 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London, England.^1,2 She married, secondly, Air Marshall Sir Thomas Walker Elmhirst, son of Reverend William Heaton Elmhirst and Mary Knight, on 30 October 1968.¹ She died on 11 December 1996 at age 88.³
     From 1 November 1927, her married name became Ferguson. Her married name became Elmhirst.

     John Andrew Ferguson was born on 21 January 1929. He was the son of Colonel Andrew Henry Ferguson and Marian Louisa Montagu Douglas Scott. He died before 1998.

     Brig.-Gen. Algernon Francis Holford Ferguson was born on 27 September 1867 at 9 Eaton Place, London, England.³ He was the son of Colonel John Stephenson Ferguson and Sophia Jane Holford.⁴ He married Hon. Margaret Brand, daughter of Henry Robert Brand, 2nd Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Susan Henrietta Cavendish, on 21 April 1897.² He died on 5 November 1943 at age 76 at Polebrook Hall, Polebrook, Oundle, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England^G.^2,3
     He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the 2nd Life Guards.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)² He held the office of High SHeriff of Northamptonshire in 1923.³ He lived at Polebrooke Hall, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     Colonel John Stephenson Ferguson was born on 17 May 1834 at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.² He was the son of Thomas Ferguson and Emma Benyon. He was baptised on 25 June 1834 at St. Anne’s, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.² He married Sophia Jane Holford, daughter of John Holford and Ann Shaw, on 10 June 1863 at St. Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, London, England.^1,3 He died on 11 January 1885 at age 50 at 92 Eaton Square, London, England.^1,3
