     William Crawford of Auchinames was born circa 1530.¹ He was the son of Thomas Crawford of Auchinames and Marion Montgomerie.¹ He married Anabel Chalmer, daughter of James Chalmer of Gadgirth and Annabella Cuninghame.¹ He died in 1582.¹
