     Sir Coll Lamont of that Ilk is the son of James Lamont of that Ilk and Moir MacLachlan.2 He married Barbara Sempill, daughter of Robert Sempill, 4th Lord Sempill and Lady Agnes Montgomerie, before 19 January 1610.1 He died circa 1634.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1623.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1630.1

     Sir James Lamont of that Ilk was born in 1612.1 He was the son of Sir Coll Lamont of that Ilk and Barbara Sempill.2 He married Margaret Campbell, daughter of unknown Campbell of Ardkinglas.1 He died in 1670.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1637.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Argyllshire in 1643.1 In 1646 he was imprisoned.1 In 1661 he was reinstated.1

Archibald Lamont of that Ilk1

     Archibald Lamont of that Ilk was born in 1646.1 He was the son of Sir James Lamont of that Ilk and Margaret Campbell.2 He married Margaret Urry, daughter of unknown Urry of Pitsligo, before 1680.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1672.1
