     He held the office of Archdeacon of Canterbury.¹

     Ann Stanbury was born on 9 November 1788.¹ She was the daughter of George Stanbury and Ann Chugg.¹ She married William Churchward, son of Henry Churchward and Mary Hannaford, in 1816 at Stoke Damerel, Devon, England.¹ She died in 1872.¹
     From 1816, her married name became Churchward.¹
