     Sir John Ramsden was born on 13 October 1594.1 He was the son of William Ramsden and Rosamund Pilkington.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Frescheville, daughter of Unknown Frescheville, in 1624.1 He married, secondly, Anne Overton, daughter of Lawrence Overton, on 7 June 1634.1 He died in 1646.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royalist.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract in 1627.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1636.1 He fought in the English Civil War.1 He lived at Longley Hall, Yorkshire, England.1 He lived at Byram, Yorkshire, England.1

     Sir John Ramsden, 1st Bt. was born in April 1648.1 He was the son of William Ramsden and Elizabeth Palmes.2 He married Sarah Butler, daughter of Charles Butler, on 7 March 1670.1 He died on 11 June 1690 at age 42.3
     They had six younger sons who died unmarried.1 He lived at Byram, Yorkshire, England.1 He was created 1st Baronet Ramsden, of Byram, co. York [England] on 30 November 1689.1 He lived at Longley Hall, Yorkshire, England.1

     Browne Ramsden was the daughter of William Ramsden and Elizabeth Palmes.2 She married, firstly, Sir George Dalston, son of Sir William Dalston, 1st Bt. and Anne Bolles.1 She married Edward Andrews.1 She married Sir Richard Fisher, 4th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Fisher, 1st Bt. and Sarah Fowler.1 She died on 15 March 1740.1
     Her married name became Fisher.1 Her married name became Andrews.1 Her married name became Dalston.1
