     James David Forbes was born on 20 April 1809.¹ He was the son of Sir William Forbes of Pitsligo, 7th Bt. and Williamina Stuart.² He married Alicia Wauchope, daughter of George Wauchope, on 4 July 1843.¹ He died on 31 December 1868 at age 59.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)¹ He was the Principal at United College of St. Salvator and St. Leonard^G.¹

     Alicia Wauchope was the daughter of George Wauchope.² She married James David Forbes, son of Sir William Forbes of Pitsligo, 7th Bt. and Williamina Stuart, on 4 July 1843.¹ She died in 1885.¹
     From 4 July 1843, her married name became Forbes.³

     Isobel Campbell was born circa 1617 at Glenorchy, Argyllshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Sir Robert Campbell of Glenorchy, 3rd Bt. and Isabel Macintosh.¹ A contract for the marriage of Isobel Campbell and Sir James Campbell, 9th of Ardkinglas was signed on 19 August 1636.¹
     She was living on 16 June 1666.¹

     Margaret Dundas is the daughter of Sir James Dundas, 16th of Dundas and Margaret Sandilands.¹ She married Robert Wauchope of Niddrie Marischal, son of William Wauchope of Niddrie and Margaret Sandilands, in 1558.¹
     From 1558, her married name became Wauchope.¹

     Charlotte Agnes Wauchope was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Robert Adam Wauchope.² She married Edmund Batten Forbes, son of James David Forbes and Alicia Wauchope, on 2 July 1885.¹ She died on 18 July 1958.¹
     From 2 July 1885, her married name became Forbes.

     James Stuart Forbes was born on 13 February 1888.¹ He was the son of Edmund Batten Forbes and Charlotte Agnes Wauchope.² He married Merion Josephine Knight, daughter of Alexander Knight, on 29 July 1920.¹ He died on 29 April 1935 at age 47.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Alexander Knight lived at Dorset, England^G.¹

     Merion Josephine Knight is the daughter of Alexander Knight.² She married James Stuart Forbes, son of Edmund Batten Forbes and Charlotte Agnes Wauchope, on 29 July 1920.¹
     From 29 July 1920, her married name became Forbes.

     Sir James Campbell, 9th of Ardkinglas was born circa 1614.² He was the son of Sir Colin Campbell, 8th of Ardkinglas and Mary Sempill.² A contract for the marriage of Sir James Campbell, 9th of Ardkinglas and Isobel Campbell was signed on 19 August 1636.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Argyllshire [Scotland] between 1640 and 1649.³
