     He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G, in 1907 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Harvard Law School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G, in 1910.² He was with the U.S. Treasury Department between 1910 and 1911.² He was a banker between 1911 and 1922 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G.² He fought in the First World War between 1917 and 1919.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal (D.S.M.) U.S.² He gained the rank of Major.² He held the office of Member of the House of Representatives [U.S.] between 1922 and 1938.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in January 1923 in the Field Artillery Reserve Corps, U.S. Army.^1,2

     Alexandra Murray Bacon was born on 4 March 1914.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Low Bacon and Virginia Murray.¹ She died in December 1935 at age 21, without issue.¹

     Colonel Robert Bacon was born in 1860 at Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died in 1919.¹
     He was educated at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was with J.P. Morgan, where he helped establish U.S. Steel between 1894 and 1909 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ He held the office of Secretary of State [U.S.] between 1909 and 1910.¹ He held the office of U.S. Ambassador to France in 1910.¹

     Virginia Murray Bacon was born on 7 June 1916.¹ She is the daughter of Robert Low Bacon and Virginia Murray.¹ She married Byron Thomas in 1949.¹
     From 1949, her married name became Thomas.¹

     Captain Creighton Churchill married Martha Bacon, daughter of Robert Low Bacon and Virginia Murray, in 1942.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Alexander Henry Murray was born on 8 October 1829.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Alexander Murray and Deborah Hunt.^2,1 He married Martha Frances Vincent Davenport, daughter of Thomas E. Davenport, on 2 October 1856.¹ He died on 4 April 1885 at age 55.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Martha Frances Vincent Davenport was the daughter of Thomas E. Davenport.² She married Brig.-Gen. Alexander Henry Murray, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Alexander Murray and Deborah Hunt, on 2 October 1856.¹ She died on 26 November 1911.¹
     From 2 October 1856, her married name became Murray.¹

     Alexander Gerald Murray was born on 27 November 1857.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Alexander Henry Murray and Martha Frances Vincent Davenport.² He died on 28 August 1885 at age 27, unmarried.¹

     Charles Stewart Murray was born on 4 December 1858.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Alexander Henry Murray and Martha Frances Vincent Davenport.² He married Laura Susan Prestage, daughter of Franklin Prestage, in January 1892.¹ He died on 4 May 1903 at age 44.¹
     He was with the Bengal Police.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)¹
