Herbert Mark Garrett Purvis, son of Mary Jane Austen, on 9 November 1858 at County Tipperary, Ireland^G.^1,2 She died on 16 April 1885 at age 43 at Hôtel Windsor, Monte Carlo, Monaco^G.²
     From 9 November 1858, her married name became Purvis.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Herbert Mark Garrett Purvis was born on 23 June 1831 at Blackbrook Cottage, Fareham, Hampshire, England^G.² He was the son of Mary Jane Austen.¹ He married Elizabeth Jane Grogan, daughter of John Edward Knox Grogan and Elizabeth van Renselaer Powell, on 9 November 1858 at County Tipperary, Ireland^G.^1,2 He died on 8 October 1912 at age 81 at Westcott House, Cullompton, Devon, England^G.²
     He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the British Army in Looltan in the East Indies.²

     Benjamin François Houssemayne Du Boulay was born in 1725 at Paris, France^G.¹ He married Louise Lamotte, daughter of Jean Lagier Lamotte and Louise d‘Albiac, on 30 June 1756.¹ He died on 17 June 1765.¹ He was buried at French Protestant Church, Southampton, Hampshire, England^G.¹
     He was educated at Leyden University, Leyden, The Netherlands^G.¹ He was the Pastor at French Church, Threadneedle Street, London, England^G.¹

     Louise Lamotte was baptised on 1 May 1736.¹ She was the daughter of Jean Lagier Lamotte and Louise d‘Albiac.¹ She married Benjamin François Houssemayne Du Boulay on 30 June 1756.¹ She died on 28 March 1825 at age 88.¹
     From 30 June 1756, her married name became Houssemayne Du Boulay.¹

     Dr. Henry Alexander Murray was born on 13 May 1893.¹ He was the son of Henry Alexander Murray and Fanny Morris Babcock.¹ He married, firstly, Josephine Lee Rantoul, daughter of Neal Rantoul, in 1916.¹ He married, secondly, Caroline Fish Chandler, daughter of Alfred Chandler, in 1969.¹ He died in 1988.¹
     He graduated from Columbia University, Manhattan, New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Medical Corps, U.S. Army.¹ He was awarded the Legion of Merit in 1946.¹

     Josephine Lee Rantoul was the daughter of Neal Rantoul.¹ She married Dr. Henry Alexander Murray, son of Henry Alexander Murray and Fanny Morris Babcock, in 1916.¹ She died on 14 January 1962.¹
