     Elizabeth Osborne was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir William Osborne, 8th Bt. and Elizabeth Christmas.¹ She married John Joshua Proby, 1st Earl of Carysfort, son of John Proby, 1st Baron Carysfort and Hon. Elizabeth Allen, on 19 March 1774.¹ She died in November 1783.²
     After her marriage, Elizabeth Osborne was styled as Baroness Carysfort on 19 March 1774. From 19 March 1774, her married name became Proby.

     Rt. Hon. Sir William Osborne, 8th Bt. was the son of Sir John Osborne, 7th Bt. and Editha Proby.² He and Elizabeth Christmas obtained a marriage license on 20 March 1749.¹ He died in November 1783.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Osborne, of Ballintaylor and Ballylemon, co. Waterford [I., 1629] on 11 April 1743.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Waterford in 1750.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carysfort between 1761 and 1768.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dungarvan between 1768 and 1783.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1770.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carysfort in 1783.¹

     Elizabeth Christmas is the daughter of Thomas Christmas.¹ She and Rt. Hon. Sir William Osborne, 8th Bt. obtained a marriage license on 20 March 1749.²
     From 20 March 1749, her married name became Osborne.²

     Thomas Belasyse, 1st Earl of Fauconberg was baptised on 16 March 1627/28.² He was the son of Hon. Henry Belasyse and Grace Barton.^2,3 He married, firstly, Mildred Saunderson, daughter of Nicholas Saunderson, 2nd Viscount Castleton and Frances Manners, on 3 July 1651.³ He married, secondly, Mary Cromwell, daughter of Oliver Cromwell and Elizabeth Bouchier, on 18 November 1657. He died on 31 December 1700 at age 72.
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Belasyse, of Newborough, co. York [E., 1611] in 1652. He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Fauconberg of Henknowle, in the Bishopric of Durham [E., 1643] in 1652.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Fauconberg of Yarm, co. York [E., 1627] in 1652. He was created 1st Earl of Fauconberg [England] on 9 April 1689.³ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁴
     

     Mildred Saunderson was the daughter of Nicholas Saunderson, 2nd Viscount Castleton and Frances Manners. She married Thomas Belasyse, 1st Earl of Fauconberg, son of Hon. Henry Belasyse and Grace Barton, on 3 July 1651.¹ She died on 8 May 1656.
     From 3 July 1651, her married name became Belasyse.

     Mary Cromwell was christened on 9 February 1636/37. She was the daughter of Oliver Cromwell and Elizabeth Bouchier.¹ She married Thomas Belasyse, 1st Earl of Fauconberg, son of Hon. Henry Belasyse and Grace Barton, on 18 November 1657. She died on 14 March 1712/13 at age 76.
     Her married name became Belasyse.

     Elizabeth Bouchier was born in 1598.² She was the daughter of Sir James Bouchier.¹ She married Oliver Cromwell, son of Robert Cromwell and Elizabeth Steward, in 1620. She died on 19 November 1665 at Norborough, Peterborough, Northamptonshire, England^G.³
     Her married name became Cromwell.

     Sir James Bouchier lived at Felstead, Essex, England^G.¹

     Richard Cromwell was born on 4 October 1626. He was the son of Oliver Cromwell and Elizabeth Bouchier.¹ He died on 12 July 1712 at age 85.
     He held the office of Lord Protector of England from 1658 to 1659. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
