     He lived at St. Katharine’s, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Lincoln from 1527 to 1528.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincoln between 1529 and 1536.² He held the office of Mayor of Lincoln from 1541 to 1542.²

     Mildred Elltoft was the daughter of John Elltoft and Mildred Claymond.¹ She married Nicholas Saunderson, 1st Viscount Castleton, son of Robert Saunderson and Catherine Grantham, before 1599.¹ She was buried at Saxby, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹
     From before 1599, her married name became Saunderson.¹ After her marriage, Mildred Elltoft was styled as Viscountess Castleton on 11 July 1627.

     John Elltoft lived at Boston, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He was also known as John Hiltoft.¹

     Mildred Claymond lived at Frampton, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹

     Nicholas Saunderson, 2nd Viscount Castleton was born circa 1595.¹ He was the son of Nicholas Saunderson, 1st Viscount Castleton and Mildred Elltoft.¹ He married Frances Manners, daughter of Sir George Manners and Grace Pierrepont.¹ He died on 13 November 1640.¹ He was buried at Saxby, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ His will (dated 2 March 1639/40) was proven (by probate) on 1 January 1641/42.¹
     He matriculated at Queen’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 15 June 1610.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn on 15 May 1613.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Saunderson of Bantry, co. Cork [I., 1627] on 17 May 1631.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Castleton, co. Limerick [I., 1627] on 17 May 1631.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Saunderson, of Saxby, co. Lincoln [E., 1611] on 17 May 1631.¹

     He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Castleton, co. Limerick [I., 1627] on 13 November 1640.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Saunderson, of Saxby, co. Lincoln [E., 1611] on 13 November 1640.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Saunderson of Bantry, co. Cork [I., 1627] on 13 November 1640.¹

     Peregrine Saunderson, 4th Viscount Castleton was born circa 1628.¹ He was the son of Nicholas Saunderson, 2nd Viscount Castleton and Frances Manners.¹ He died in 1650, unmarried.¹ His will (dated 4 November 1649) was proven (by probate) on 5 January 1652.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Castleton, co. Limerick [I., 1627] in 1641.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Saunderson, of Saxby, co. Lincoln [E., 1611] in 1641.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Saunderson of Bantry, co. Cork [I., 1627] in 1641.¹

     George Saunderson, 5th Viscount Castleton was born on 12 October 1631.¹ He was the son of Nicholas Saunderson, 2nd Viscount Castleton and Frances Manners.¹ He married, firstly, Grace Belasyse, daughter of Hon. Henry Belasyse and Grace Barton, before March 1656.¹ He married, secondly, Sarah Evelyn, daughter of Sir John Evelyn and Elizabeth Cockes, on 14 February 1674/75 at Tempel Church, London, England^G.¹ He died on 27 May 1714 at age 82 at Sandbeck, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in May 1714.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Castleton, co. Limerick [I., 1627] in 1650.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Saunderson, of Saxby, co. Lincoln [E., 1611] in 1650.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Saunderson of Bantry, co. Cork [I., 1627] in 1650.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire between 1660 and 1681.¹ He held the office of Vice-Admiral of Lincolnshire in September 1660.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire between 1685 and 1687.¹ He was Colonel of a Regiment of Foot between 1689 and 1694.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire between 1689 and 1698.¹

     Grace Belasyse was the daughter of Hon. Henry Belasyse and Grace Barton.¹ She married George Saunderson, 5th Viscount Castleton, son of Nicholas Saunderson, 2nd Viscount Castleton and Frances Manners, before March 1656.¹ She died on 16 November 1667, from measles or smallpox.¹ She was buried at Saxby, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹
     After her marriage, Grace Belasyse was styled as Viscountess Castleton before March 1656. From before March 1656, her married name became Saunderson.¹

     Grace Barton is the daughter of Sir Thomas Barton.¹ She married Hon. Henry Belasyse, son of Thomas Belasyse, 1st Viscount Fauconberg of Henknowle and Barbara Cholmley.²
     Her married name became Belasyse.²
