     Colonel Lionel James Showers was born in 1904.² He married Elizabeth Mabel Barne, daughter of Miles Barne and Violet Ella Orr Ewing.² He died in 1977.²

     Grisel Wemyss is the daughter of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Katherine Sinclair.¹ She married, secondly, David Ramsay of Brackmonth.¹ She married, firstly, Andrew Kinninmonth circa 1540.¹
     Her married name became Ramsay.¹ Her married name became Kinninmonth.

     Andrew Kinninmonth was born before 1530. He married Grisel Wemyss, daughter of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Katherine Sinclair, circa 1540.¹

     Hugh Frederick Archibald Arbuthnott was born in 1982.¹ He is the son of Hugh Andrew Arbuthnott and Elizabeth Jane Showers.¹ He married Clare Barbara Hilton on 12 December 2009.²
     He was commissioned in December 2006 with the rank of officer, in the service of the 9th/12th Royal Lancers.²

     Mariota Towers is the daughter of John Towers.¹ She married, secondly, Bernard Hamilton of Bogwood.¹ She married by contract, firstly, Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss, son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Euphemia Lundie, on 7 March 1526.¹
     Her married name became Hamilton.¹ Her married name became Wemyss.

     John Towers lived at Inverleith, Scotland^G.¹

     David Wemyss was the son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Mariota Towers.¹ He married, thirdly, Eupheme Kinninmonth.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Cunningham in 1553.¹ He married, secondly, Janet Bethune, daughter of John Bethune, 7th of Balfour and Helen Melville, in 1577.² He died in February 1593/94.¹
     He gained the rank of Army Captain.¹ He lived at Strathardie, Scotland.¹ He lived at Dron, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Cunningham married David Wemyss, son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Mariota Towers, in 1553.¹
     Her married name became Wemyss.

     Janet Bethune was born circa 1520.² She was the daughter of John Bethune, 7th of Balfour and Helen Melville.^1,2 She married, firstly, Robert Lundie, 2nd of Conland.² She married, secondly, David Wemyss, son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Mariota Towers, in 1577.² She died on 22 January 1578/79.¹
     Her married name became Lundie.² Her married name became Wemyss.

     John Bethune, 7th of Balfour was born circa 1492.¹ He was the son of John Bethune, 6th of Balfour and Hon. Elizabeth Monypenny.¹ He married, firstly, Helen Melville in 1515.¹ He married, secondly, Christian Stewart, daughter of David Stewart, 6th of Rosyth and Christian Erskine, circa 1521.^1,2 He died in 1536.¹
     He lived at Auchmithie, Angus, Scotland^G.
