David Monypenny, 15th of Pitmilly1 
He succeeded as the 15th Monypenny, of Pitmilly, co. Fife [U.K.] in 1520.1 Following the murder of his cousin Cardinal Beaton, he took refuge in St. Andrew’s Castle with conspirators and when the Castle was captured by the French he was taken prisoner and imprisoned in Cherbourg Castle. He was later pardoned by HM Mary Queen of Scots. He continued to be very ardent in Reform case and was again captured by the French.1
