     Sir Stewart Bruce, 1st and last Bt. was the son of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston.¹ He married Emma Ramsbottom, daughter of James Ramsbottom, on 18 October 1838.¹ He died on 19 March 1841, without issue.¹
     He was Genealogist of the Order of St. Patrick.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher of Dublin Castle.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Bruce [U.K.] on 24 December 1812.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     James Ramsbottom lived at Clewer Lodge, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Emma Ramsbottom was the daughter of James Ramsbottom.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Stewart Bruce, 1st and last Bt., son of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston, on 18 October 1838.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Bernard Ernest Jules de Koetteritz, son of General unknown de Koetteritz, on 18 October 1849.¹
     From 18 October 1838, her married name became Bruce. From 18 October 1849, her married name became Koetteritz.¹

     Fridiswid Bruce was the daughter of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston.¹ She married Daniel Mussenden, son of Daniel Mussenden and Martha (?), in 1781.¹ She died in 1785.¹
     From 1781, her married name became Mussenden.¹

     Margaret Elizabeth Borrowman was born on 7 March 1850.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Patrick J. Borrowman and Helen Grierson.¹ She died on 4 July 1894 at age 44.¹

     Elisabeth Lobmeyr von Hohenleiten was born in 1989 at Salzburg, Austria^G.¹ She is the daughter of Maximilian Lobmeyr von Hohenleiten and Alexandra Noé Edle von Nordberg.¹

     Rev. Dr. Henry Barnard was born circa 1728.² He was the son of Rt. Rev. William Barnard and Anne Stone.^1,3 He married, firstly, Mary Canning, daughter of Stratford Canning and Letitia Newburgh, in December 1762 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^4,2 He married, secondly, Sarah Robertson in 1777.² He died in April 1793.²

     Letitia Barnard was born circa 1765.² She was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Henry Barnard and Mary Canning.¹ She married Rev. Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st Bt., son of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston, on 10 November 1786.¹ She died on 11 April 1816.¹
     From 10 November 1786, her married name became Bruce.

     Sir James Robertson Bruce, 2nd Bt. was born on 4 September 1788.² He was the son of Rev. Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st Bt. and Letitia Barnard.¹ He married Ellen Hesketh, daughter of Robert Bamford Hesketh, on 20 September 1819.² He died on 22 April 1836 at age 47.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bruce, of Downhill, co. Londonderry [U.K., 1804] in 1822.²

     Admiral Sir Henry William Bruce was born on 2 February 1792.¹ He was the son of Rev. Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st Bt. and Letitia Barnard.¹ He married, firstly, Jane Cochrane, daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Alexander Forrester Cochrane and Maria Shaw, on 9 February 1822.¹ He married, secondly, Louisa Mary Minchin Dalrymple, daughter of Colonel George Dalrymple and Martha Willett Miller, on 9 February 1832.² He died on 14 December 1863 at age 71.²
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He lived at Ballyscullion, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹
