     Reverend James Bruce was the son of Reverend Michael Bruce and Jean Bruce.¹ He married Margaret Trail, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Trail and Mary Hamilton, on 25 September 1685.² He died in 1726.¹
     He was the Minister at Killyleagh, County Down, Ireland^G.²
     He had eight other children.¹

     Lt.-Col. James Trail was born in 1600.² He was the son of James Trail and Matilda Melville.³ He married Mary Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton and Sarah Brabazon, on 21 March 1647.² He died on 18 May 1663.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Parliament Army.² He held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1655.² He lived at Tullychin, County Down, Ireland^G.²

     Margaret Trail was born on 4 August 1662.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Trail and Mary Hamilton.¹ She married Reverend James Bruce, son of Reverend Michael Bruce and Jean Bruce, on 25 September 1685.² She died in May 1706 at age 43.²
     From 1685, her married name became Bruce. From 25 September 1685, her married name became Bruce.

     Reverend Patrick Bruce was born on 11 April 1692.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Bruce and Margaret Trail.¹ He married Margaret Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton, in 1718.¹
     He was the Minister at Killeleagh, Ireland^G.¹

     James Hamilton lived at Ladyland, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹
     He was the ancestor of the Hamiltons of Craiglaw.¹

     Margaret Hamilton was the daughter of James Hamilton.¹ She married Reverend Patrick Bruce, son of Reverend James Bruce and Margaret Trail, in 1718.¹
     From 1718, her married name became Bruce.

     James Bruce was born in 1720.¹ He was the son of Reverend Patrick Bruce and Margaret Hamilton.¹ He married Henrietta Aston, daughter of Rev. Hon. Henry Hervey-Aston and Catherine Aston, in 1762.¹
     He lived at Killeleagh, County Down, Ireland.¹

     Ferdinand Lobmeyr von Hohenleiten was born in 1986.¹ He was the son of Maximilian Lobmeyr von Hohenleiten and Alexandra Noé Edle von Nordberg.¹ He died in 1986 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹

     Henrietta Aston is the daughter of Rev. Hon. Henry Hervey-Aston and Catherine Aston.¹ She married James Bruce, son of Reverend Patrick Bruce and Margaret Hamilton, in 1762.¹
     From 1762, her married name became Bruce.

     Rev. Sir Henry Hervey Aston Bruce, 1st Bt. was the son of James Bruce and Henrietta Aston.¹ He married Letitia Barnard, daughter of Rev. Dr. Henry Barnard and Mary Canning, on 10 November 1786.¹ He died in 1822.²
     He was created 1st Baronet Bruce, of Downhill, co. Londonderry [U.K.] on 29 June 1804.¹
