Sir Frederick John William Johnstone of Westerhall, 8th Bt.1

He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Johnstone, of Westerhall [N.S., 1700] on 5 August 1841.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Weymouth between 1874 and 1885.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Dorset in 1889.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dumfriesshire.1 He sold the family estate in 1911.1

Lady Sophie Beatrix Mary Cadogan was born on 6 April 1874.1 She was the daughter of George Henry Cadogan, 5th Earl Cadogan and Lady Beatrix Jane Craven.3 She married Sir Samuel Scott, 6th Bt., son of Sir Edward Henry Scott, 5th Bt. and Emilie Packe, on 29 June 1896.1 She died on 8 November 1937 at age 63.1
Her married name became Scott. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.1
