Peter Hugh Dudley Ryder and Sarah Susannah Bowes-Lyon, on 6 September 1969.¹ She and Bruce Dudley Ryder were divorced in 2002.¹

     Mabel Erskine Ward was born on 21 August 1870.² She was the daughter of Sir William Erskine Ward and Alicia Caroline Palmer.¹ She was baptised on 3 October 1870 at Fort William, Bengal, India.² She married Basil Copleston Allen, son of Arthur John Allen, on 14 May 1896 at Assam, Bengal, India.^1,2 She died on 21 May 1956 at age 85.¹

     Sir Nigel Edward Strutt was born on 18 January 1916.¹ He was the son of Captain Edward Jolliffe Strutt and Amelie Devas.¹ He died on 28 January 2004 at age 88.²
     He was educated at Wye Agricultural College, Wye, Kent, England^G.² He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major between 1937 and 1956 in the Essex Yeomanry, Royal Horse Artillery.² He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and became a POW.² He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex in 1954.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Essex in 1966.² He was chairman of Strutt & Parker (Farms) Ltd.² He was appointed Knight in 1972.²
