     He abdicated as at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Page of Honour to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1957 and 1959.¹ He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹ He lived in 1999 at Ballindalloch Castle, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Margaret Elizabeth Russell was born on 11 October 1945.¹ She is the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Guy Herbrand Edward Russell and Hon. Helen Elizabeth Blades.¹ She married James Anthony Fowell Buxton, son of Major Robert James Buxton and Lilla Mary Alyson Pumphrey, on 4 November 1975.¹
     From 4 November 1975, her married name became Buxton.¹
