He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Macpherson-Grant, of Ballindalloch, co. Banff [U.K., 1838] on 12 February 1951.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Banffshire in 1952.2 He was a director of Scottish Equitable Mutual Life Assurance Society.2
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
