Cuthbert James was born on 29 February 1872.² He was the son of Walter Henry James, 2nd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Edith Emeline Mary Lane.² He married Florence Marion Packe, daughter of Hussey Packe and Lady Alice Wodehouse, on 10 August 1905.² He died on 21 July 1930 at age 58.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Marines.² He gained the rank of Major in the East Surrey Regiment.² He was Assistant Finance Secretary, Egyptian Army.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bromley between 1919 and 1930.² He was Assistant Civil Secretary, Sudan Government.²

     Julia Mary Soloman was the daughter of Charles Soloman.¹ She married Major Thomas James, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Cuthbert James and Florence Marion Packe, on 4 December 1940.¹ She and Major Thomas James were divorced in 1953.¹ She died in 1974.¹
     Her married name became James.

     Charles Soloman lived at St. John’s Wood, London, England.¹

     Florence Marion Packe was the daughter of Hussey Packe and Lady Alice Wodehouse.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Cuthbert James, son of Walter Henry James, 2nd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Edith Emeline Mary Lane, on 10 August 1905.¹ She died on 7 January 1933.¹
     Her married name became James.

     Hussey Packe married Lady Alice Wodehouse, daughter of John Wodehouse, 1st Earl of Kimberley and Lady Florence FitzGibbon, on 14 August 1872.¹ He died on 8 October 1908.¹

     Hon. Anne Barbara Kinnaird was born on 17 May 1904.¹ She was the daughter of Kenneth Fitzgerald Kinnaird, 12th Lord Kinnaird and Frances Victoria Clifton.¹ She married Walter Seton Scott, son of Reverend Julius Scott, on 7 September 1939.¹ She died on 24 March 1962 at age 57.
     Her married name became Scott.

     Walter John James, 3rd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger was born on 2 September 1869.² He was the son of Walter Henry James, 2nd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Edith Emeline Mary Lane.³ He married Laura Gwenllian Rice, daughter of Admiral Sir Ernest Rice and Laura Marianne York, on 4 October 1894.² He died on 22 December 1932 at age 63.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal NAval Volunteer Reserve.² He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet James, of Langley Hall and Denford Court, co. Berks [G.B., 1791] on 27 January 1923.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger, co. Kent and of Jarrow Grange, co. Palatine of Durham [U.K., 1884] on 27 January 1923.²

     Walter Seton Scott is the son of Reverend Julius Scott.¹ He married Hon. Anne Barbara Kinnaird, daughter of Kenneth Fitzgerald Kinnaird, 12th Lord Kinnaird and Frances Victoria Clifton, on 7 September 1939.¹

     Reverend Julius Scott lived at Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     Un-named Kinnaird was born on 4 October 1906.¹ She was the daughter of Kenneth Fitzgerald Kinnaird, 12th Lord Kinnaird and Frances Victoria Clifton.¹ She died on 7 October 1906.¹
