He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Malcolm, of Balbedie and Innertiel in the County of Fife [N.S., 1665] on 8 June 1901.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Pembrokeshire Artillery Militia.1 He was Administrative Assistant, Ministry of Munitions, during the First World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.1

Arthur William Alexander Malcolm1 
Arthur William Alexander Malcolm was born on 31 May 1903.1 He was the son of Major Charles Edward Malcolm and Hon. Beatrice Mary Leslie Hore-Ruthven.1 He married Mary Hester Mann, daughter of Samuel Furneaux Mann, on 11 September 1928.1 He died on 18 March 1989 at age 85 at Sandwich, Kent, England.1,2
He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Victoria.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Welsh Guards.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1949.1 He was Assistant Military Attache to Paris between 1950 and 1952.1 He was Private Secretary to the Governor of South Australia between 1953 and 1955.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1954.1 He was Queen’s Messenger between 1955 and 1989.1
