He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to GOC, Scottish Command between 1919 and 1923.2 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Malcolm, of Balbedie and Innertiel in the County of Fife [N.S., 1665] on 30 April 1927.2 He was member of the Executive Committee, Standing Council of the Baronetage between 1954 and 1976.2
