     John Forbes lived at Bridgend, Perthshire, Scotland.¹

     Isabel Balfour was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. John Balfour and Barbara Ross.² She married Sir John Malcolm of Lochore, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Malcolm of Innertiel and Lochore, 1st Bt. and Hon. Emilia Balfour, in 1709.¹ She died on 14 December 1763.¹
     From 1709, her married name became Malcolm.

     Robert Malcolm is the son of Sir John Malcolm of Lochore, 2nd Bt. and Isabel Balfour.²

     Anne Malcolm is the daughter of Robert Malcolm.² She married Alexander Graham.¹

     Sir Michael Malcolm, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir John Malcolm of Lochore, 2nd Bt. and Isabel Balfour.² He married Katherine Bathurst, daughter of Peter Bathurst and Lady Selina Shirley, on 1 February 1752.¹ He died on 5 May 1793, without surviving issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Malcolm, of Balbedie and Innertiel in the County of Fife [N.S., 1665] on 12 August 1753.¹

     Alexander Ernest William Malcolm was born on 4 October 1900.¹ He was the son of Sir James William Malcolm, 9th Bt. and Evelyn Alberta Sandeman.¹ He married, firstly, Olive Leah Scott, daughter of Walter Scott, on 16 March 1925.¹ He married, secondly, Sybil Mary Peacock, daughter of Hugh Peacock, on 25 June 1941.¹ He died on 30 October 1958 at age 58.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery (TA.)¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹

     Katherine Bathurst was the daughter of Peter Bathurst and Lady Selina Shirley.^2,1 She married Sir Michael Malcolm, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Malcolm of Lochore, 2nd Bt. and Isabel Balfour, on 1 February 1752.¹ She died on 30 October 1794.¹
     From 1 February 1752, her married name became Malcolm.

     Robert Malcolm of Grange was baptised on 25 October 1682 at Ballingry, Fife, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Sir John Malcolm of Innertiel and Lochore, 1st Bt. and Hon. Emilia Balfour.³ He married Isabella Herries, daughter of Robert Herries of Halldykes.¹ He died on 3 June 1769 at age 86.¹

     Robert Herries of Halldykes is the son of unknown Herries.¹
