     Ivor Paul Coats was born on 25 January 1923.¹ He was the son of Sir James Stuart Coats, 3rd Bt. and Lady Amy Gwendoline Gordon-Lennox.² He married Caroline Gay Pinckney, daughter of Dr. Charles Percy Pinckney, on 21 January 1959.¹ He died on 13 June 2016 at age 93.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was commissioned in 1943 with the rank of Lieutenant, in the service of the 12th Lancers.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa and Italy, where he was wounded and became a POW.¹ He lived in 2003 at 110c Victoria Rise, London, England^G.¹

     Caroline Gay Pinckney is the daughter of Dr. Charles Percy Pinckney.² She married Ivor Paul Coats, son of Sir James Stuart Coats, 3rd Bt. and Lady Amy Gwendoline Gordon-Lennox, on 21 January 1959.¹
     Her married name became Coats.

     Dr. Charles Percy Pinckney was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He lived at 76 Albert Hall Mansions, London, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Chir.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹

     Emma Lucinda Coats was born on 25 July 1960.¹ She was the daughter of Ivor Paul Coats and Caroline Gay Pinckney.² She died on 23 June 2010 at age 49.³

     James Raymond Coats was born on 31 August 1928.¹ He was the son of Sir James Stuart Coats, 3rd Bt. and Lady Amy Gwendoline Gordon-Lennox.² He died on 15 September 1995 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Dominic Peter Coats was born on 7 May 1962.¹ He is the son of Ivor Paul Coats and Caroline Gay Pinckney.² He married Daniela Pellegrini, daughter of Bruno Pellegrini, on 25 September 1998.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     James Charles Coats was born on 19 October 1964.¹ He is the son of Ivor Paul Coats and Caroline Gay Pinckney.² He married Marlene Silva on 28 December 1991.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Sophie Louise Coats was born on 9 May 1966.¹ She is the daughter of Ivor Paul Coats and Caroline Gay Pinckney.²

     Lady Doris Hilda Gordon-Lennox was born on 6 September 1896.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 8th Duke of Richmond and Hilda Madeline Brassey.¹ She married Commander Clare George Vyner, son of Lord Alwyne Frederick Compton and Mary Evelyn Violet Vyner, on 10 April 1923.¹ She died circa 8 February 1980 at London, England^G.²
     Her married name became Vyner.

     Commander Clare George Vyner was born on 31 March 1894.² He was the son of Lord Alwyne Frederick Compton and Mary Evelyn Violet Vyner.² He married Lady Doris Hilda Gordon-Lennox, daughter of Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 8th Duke of Richmond and Hilda Madeline Brassey, on 10 April 1923.¹ He died on 29 October 1989 at age 95 at Ullapool, Ross-shire, Scotland, as the result of a motor accident.³
     He was given the name of Clare George Compton at birth.¹ On 30 March 1912 his name was legally changed to Clare George Vyner by Royal Licence.⁴ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.² He lived at Studley Royal, Ripon, Yorkshire, England.²
