     Pilar Eliza Mary Edmondstoune-Cranstoun was born on 8 January 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Edward Harris Edmondstoune-Cranstoun of Corehouse and Edith Mary Jerningham.² She married Brig.-Gen. Alister Fraser Gordon, son of W. G. Gordon, on 9 January 1908.¹ She died on 14 October 1967 at age 87.¹
     Her married name became Gordon. She lived at Corehouse, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, Corehouse.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Alister Fraser Gordon was born circa 1872.² He was the son of W. G. Gordon.³ He married Pilar Eliza Mary Edmondstoune-Cranstoun, daughter of Charles Edward Harris Edmondstoune-Cranstoun of Corehouse and Edith Mary Jerningham, on 9 January 1908.¹ He died on 31 July 1917, from wounds received in action.^1,2
     He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He fought in the Ashanti Campaign in 1900.² He fought in the Boer War.² He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the Gordon Highlanders.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Major Alastair Joseph Edgar Gordon-Cranstoun of that Ilk was born on 11 August 1910.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Alister Fraser Gordon and Pilar Eliza Mary Edmondstoune-Cranstoun.² He married Teresa Carolina Maria Fessia, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Feliciani Fessia, in 1972.¹ He died on 28 February 1990 at age 79, without issue.¹
     He was given the name of Alastair Joseph Edgar Gordon at birth.¹ He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was commissioned in 1932, in the service of the Grenadier Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in France and the Middle East.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1943.¹ He was Military Attaché to Lisbon between 1945 and 1947.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1946.¹ On 11 September 1950 his name was legally changed to Alastair Joseph Edgar Gordon-Cranstoun.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 11 September 1950.¹ He held the position of Chief of the Name and Arms of Cranstoun from on 11 September 1950.¹ He was awarded the Knight, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1951.¹ He was Deputy Commandant Vienna, Inter-Allied Command and Deputy Director of the Military Division between 1952 and 1955.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire in 1960.¹

     Margaret Colette Mary Gordon was born on 13 January 1909.¹ She is the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Alister Fraser Gordon and Pilar Eliza Mary Edmondstoune-Cranstoun.² She married Major John Gilbert Lockhart, son of Alexander Francis Maxwell Lockhart, on 3 June 1937.¹
     From 3 June 1937, her married name became Lockhart.

     Mary Pilar Elizabeth Gordon was born on 10 May 1914.¹ She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Alister Fraser Gordon and Pilar Eliza Mary Edmondstoune-Cranstoun.² She married Colonel Archibald John George Hope of Luffness, son of Lt.-Col. George Everard Hope and Margaret Cockton, on 6 April 1937.¹ She died on 27 March 1989 at age 74.¹
     Her married name became Hope.

     James Edward Jerningham was born on 31 January 1817.² He was the son of Edward Jerningham and Emily Middleton.² He married Sophia Murray, daughter of Reverend Sir William Murray of Dunerne, 9th Bt. and Esther Jane Gayton, on 19 May 1846.¹ He died on 22 August 1848 at age 31, without issue.²
     He gained the rank of Army Officer.²

     Sophia Murray was the daughter of Reverend Sir William Murray of Dunerne, 9th Bt. and Esther Jane Gayton.¹ She married James Edward Jerningham, son of Edward Jerningham and Emily Middleton, on 19 May 1846.¹ She died on 22 August 1848, without issue.²
     From 19 May 1846, her married name became Jerningham.

     Reverend Sir William Murray of Dunerne, 9th Bt. was born circa 1769.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Murray of Dunerne, 6th Bt. and Susan Renton.² He married Esther Jane Gayton in 1809.¹ He died on 14 May 1842.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was the Rector between 1802 and 1842 at Lofthouse, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Murray, of Dunerne, co. Fife [N.S., 1630] on 15 October 1827.¹

     Esther Jane Gayton married Reverend Sir William Murray of Dunerne, 9th Bt., son of Sir Robert Murray of Dunerne, 6th Bt. and Susan Renton, in 1809.¹ She died on 6 February 1875.¹
     Her married name became Murray.

     Mary Clementina Jerningham was born on 6 September 1810.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Jerningham and Emily Middleton.¹ She married Victor Amédée de Ripart-Monclar, Marquis de Ripart-Monclar, son of Marquis de Ripert-Barret, on 9 March 1838.¹ She died on 21 August 1864 at age 53.¹
