     Ismay Catherine Crichton-Stuart was born on 23 December 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Lord Ninian Edward Crichton-Stuart and Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston.¹ She married, firstly, John Anthony Hardinge Giffard, 3rd Earl of Halsbury, son of Hardinge Goulburn Giffard, 2nd Earl of Halsbury and Esme Wallace, on 1 October 1930.¹ She and John Anthony Hardinge Giffard, 3rd Earl of Halsbury were divorced in 1936.¹ She married, secondly, Donald Walter Munro Ross, son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Walter Charteris Ross of Cromarty and Gertrude May Gathorne, on 30 August 1937.¹ She died in 1989.¹
     From 1 October 1930, her married name became Giffard. From 30 August 1937, her married name became Ross.

     John Anthony Hardinge Giffard, 3rd Earl of Halsbury was born on 4 June 1908.¹ He was the son of Hardinge Goulburn Giffard, 2nd Earl of Halsbury and Esme Wallace.² He married, firstly, Ismay Catherine Crichton-Stuart, daughter of Lt.-Col. Lord Ninian Edward Crichton-Stuart and Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston, on 1 October 1930.² He and Ismay Catherine Crichton-Stuart were divorced in 1936.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Adeline Faith Godley, daughter of Major Harry Crewe Godley and Elizabeth Mary Annesley, on 2 December 1936.¹ He died on 14 January 2000 at age 91.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Sir Walter Charteris Ross of Cromarty was born on 5 August 1857. He is the son of Lt.-Col. George William Holmes Ross of Cromarty and Adelaide Lucy Davidson. He married, firstly, May Stewart on 8 June 1887. He married, secondly, Gertrude May Gathorne on 5 August 1897. He died in 1928.

     Adam Edward Giffard was born on 3 June 1934.¹ He was the son of John Anthony Hardinge Giffard, 3rd Earl of Halsbury and Ismay Catherine Crichton-Stuart.² He married, firstly, Ellen Horde, daughter of Brynjolf Horde, on 1 August 1963.¹ He married, secondly, Joanna Elizabeth Cole, daughter of Frederick Harry Cole, in 1976.¹ He died on 31 December 2011 at age 77.³
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1956 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from Open University, England^G, in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Tiverton, of Tiverton, co. Devon [U.K., 1898] on 14 January 2000.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Halsbury [U.K., 1898] on 14 January 2000, although he does not use his title.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Halsbury, of Halsbury, co. Devon [U.K., 1885] on 14 January 2000.¹ He lived in 2003 at New Mills, Snapper, Devon, England^G.¹ On his death, his titles became extinct.³

     Ismay Victoria Ross was born on 19 September 1944.¹ She is the daughter of Donald Walter Munro Ross and Ismay Catherine Crichton-Stuart.¹

     Captain Alexander Henry Richard Maule Ramsay was born on 20 February 1918.¹ He was the son of Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay and Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston.¹ He died on 19 August 1943 at age 25, on active service, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Robert John Maule Ramsay was born on 17 May 1920.¹ He was the son of Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay and Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston.¹ He married, firstly, Theodora Jean Hewlett, daughter of Martin Hewlett, on 5 June 1948.¹ He and Theodora Jean Hewlett were divorced in 1961.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Frances Bultitude, daughter of A. F. Bultitude, on 30 September 1961.¹ He died on 12 May 1978 at age 57.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Theodora Jean Hewlett is the daughter of Martin Hewlett.¹ She married Robert John Maule Ramsay, son of Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay and Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston, on 5 June 1948.¹ She and Robert John Maule Ramsay were divorced in 1961.¹
