     General Charles Stuart was born on 16 March 1810.² He was the son of Captain John James Stuart and Albinia Sullivan.¹ He married, firstly, Hon. Georgiana Stuart Gore, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir John Gore and Georgiana Montagu, on 4 September 1839.² He married, secondly, Louisa Gambier Murdoch, daughter of James Gordon Murdoch, on 24 September 1878.¹ He died on 7 September 1892 at age 82, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bute.¹ He was Colonel of the 2nd Battalion, Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Bute.¹ He lived at Hoburne, Christchurch, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Georgiana Stuart Gore was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir John Gore and Georgiana Montagu.¹ She married General Charles Stuart, son of Captain John James Stuart and Albinia Sullivan, on 4 September 1839.² She died on 18 July 1877.
     From 4 September 1839, her married name became Stuart. She held the office of Maid of Honour to Queen Adelaide.¹

     Henry Arundell, 5th Baron Arundell of Wardour was born before 1676.¹ He was the son of Thomas Arundell, 4th Baron Arundell of Wardour and Margaret Spencer.¹ He married Elizabeth Panton, daughter of Colonel Thomas Panton and Dorothy Stacy, between 5 August 1691 and 9 August 1691.¹ He died on 20 April 1726 at Wardour Castle, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was buried on 2 May 1726 at Tisbury, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered on 13 June 1726, to his son Henry.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baron Arundell of Wardour, co. Wiltshire [E., 1605] on 10 February 1711/12.¹

     Louisa Gambier Murdoch is the daughter of James Gordon Murdoch.¹ She married General Charles Stuart, son of Captain John James Stuart and Albinia Sullivan, on 24 September 1878.¹
     From 24 September 1878, her married name became Stuart.

     Lord Patrick James Herbert Crichton-Stuart was born posthumously on 25 August 1794.² He was the son of John Stuart, Viscount Mount Stuart and Lady Elizabeth Penelope MacDowall-Crichton.¹ He married Hannah Tighe, daughter of William Tighe, on 13 July 1818.² He died on 7 September 1859 at age 65.¹
     He was given the name of Patrick James Herbert Stuart at birth.² In March 1817 he was granted the rank of marquess’syounger son.² In March 1817 his name was legally changed to Patrick James Herbert Crichton-Stuart.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Bute.²

     Hannah Tighe was the daughter of William Tighe. She married Lord Patrick James Herbert Crichton-Stuart, son of John Stuart, Viscount Mount Stuart and Lady Elizabeth Penelope MacDowall-Crichton, on 13 July 1818.¹ She died on 5 June 1872.¹
     Her married name became Crichton-Stuart.

     William Tighe was born in 1776.² He was the son of William Tighe.³ He died in 1816.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He lived at Woodstock, County Kilkenny, Ireland^G.⁴

     Lt.-Col. Lord Ninian Edward Crichton-Stuart was born on 15 May 1883.¹ He was the son of John Patrick Crichton-Stuart, 3rd Marquess of the County of Bute and Hon. Gwendolen Mary Anne Fitzalan-Howard.¹ He married Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston, daughter of Jenico William Joseph Preston, 14th Viscount Gormanston and Georgina Jane Connelan, on 16 June 1906.¹ He died on 2 October 1915 at age 32, killed in action.
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cardiff between 1910 and 1915.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 6th Battalion, Welsh Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.

     Hon. Ismay Lucretia Mary Preston was born on 29 October 1882.² She was the daughter of Jenico William Joseph Preston, 14th Viscount Gormanston and Georgina Jane Connelan.^1,2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Lord Ninian Edward Crichton-Stuart, son of John Patrick Crichton-Stuart, 3rd Marquess of the County of Bute and Hon. Gwendolen Mary Anne Fitzalan-Howard, on 16 June 1906.¹ She married, secondly, Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lushington Ramsay and Sophia Thomas, on 30 April 1917.¹ She died on 16 February 1975 at age 92.¹
     From 16 June 1906, her married name became Crichton-Stuart. From 30 April 1917, her married name became Ramsay.
