     Gertrude Harpham is the daughter of William Howson Harpham.¹ She married George Edward Mervyn Thorneycroft, son of George Benjamin Thorneycroft and Blanche Mary Mervyn Archdale, on 27 April 1938.¹
     From 27 April 1938, her married name became Thorneycroft.¹

     William Howson Harpham lived at Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England.¹

     Thomas Covingtrie was baptised on 15 June 1685.¹ He was the son of David Covingtrie and Nicolla Traill.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Elphinston.¹ He married, firstly, Elspeth Loutitt, daughter of Thomas Loutitt, on 8 September 1719.¹ He died on 2 September 1744 at age 59.¹
     He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1705 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He was ordained on 21 September 1711.¹
