     Annette Prevost was born on 15 October 1849 at Alverstocke, Hampshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Commander James Charles Prevost and Ellen Mary Moresby.¹ She married General Sir Henry John Thoroton Hildyard, son of Thomas Blackborne Thoroton Hildyard and Anne Margaret Rochfort, on 14 May 1871 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.¹ She died on 14 February 1919 at age 69 at Littlehampton, Sussex, England.¹
     From 14 May 1871, her married name became Hildyard.¹

     Ellen Mary Moresby was born on 29 July 1819 at Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Fairfax Moresby and Eliza Louisa Williams.¹ She married Commander James Charles Prevost, son of Rear-Admiral James Prevost and Frances Sophia Haultain, on 18 October 1842 at Newton Ferrars, Devon, England.¹ She died on 29 May 1877 at age 57 at St. Thomas, Devon, England.¹
     From 18 October 1842, her married name became Prevost.¹
