     Admiral James Douglas was born on 3 June 1755.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Sir James Douglas, 1st Bt. and Helen Brisbane.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Scott, daughter of Captain Robert Scott, in November 1793.1 He married, secondly, Frances Scott, daughter of William Scott and Mary Whitby, on 1 June 1820.1
     He gained the rank of Admiral of the Red.1

     Elizabeth Scott was the daughter of Captain Robert Scott.1 She married, firstly, Captain unknown Riddell.1 She married, secondly, Admiral James Douglas, son of Rear-Admiral Sir James Douglas, 1st Bt. and Helen Brisbane, in November 1793.1 She died on 2 May 1819.1
     Her married name became Riddell.1 From November 1793, her married name became Douglas.1

     Reverend William Scott was born on 23 May 1795.2 He was the son of Sir Joseph Scott, 1st Bt. and Margaret Whitby.1 He married Maria Gabell, daughter of Rev. Dr. Henry Dison Gabell, on 18 July 1818.1 He died on 3 February 1829 at age 33.2
     He was Rector at Aldridge, Staffordshire, England.2
