Sir Bruce Gordon Seton of Abercorn, 9th Bt.1 
He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the Indian Medical Service.1 He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1894, where he was severely.1 He fought in the Tochi Valley Campaign in 1897.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Seton, of Abercorn, co. Linlithgow [N.S., 1663] on 12 March 1915.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms as ‘Seton of Abercorn’, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court ‘Seton of Abercorn’ on 20 April 1915.1
