     Andrew Cunningham of Kirkshaw married Agnes Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas, 6th of Drumlanrig and Elizabeth Gordon.¹

     William Douglas of Coshogle married Janet Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Margaret Douglas.¹
     He lived at Coshogle, Scotland.¹

     Sir John Charteris, 10th of Amisfield was the son of Sir John Charteris, 9th of Amisfield and Janet Douglas.¹ He married Agnes Maxwell, daughter of Sir John Maxwell and Agnes Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles, in 1581.¹ He died circa 1616.¹

     Sir John Charteris, 11th of Amisfield was the son of Sir John Charteris, 10th of Amisfield and Agnes Maxwell.¹ He died circa 1639.¹

     Agnes Maxwell is the daughter of Sir John Maxwell and Agnes Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles.¹ She married Sir John Charteris, 10th of Amisfield, son of Sir John Charteris, 9th of Amisfield and Janet Douglas, in 1581.¹
     From 1581, her married name became Charteris.¹

     Sir Robert Montgomery of Skelmorley, 1st Bt. married Margaret Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas of Drumlanrig, younger and Margaret Gordon.¹
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Montgomery, of Skelmorley.

     Sir James Murray of Cockpool married Janet Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas of Drumlanrig, younger and Margaret Gordon.¹

     Sir Alexander Stewart of Garlies married Christian Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Christian Montgomerie.¹
