     Brig.-Gen. Alexander Bruce was the son of Brig.-Gen. James Bruce, 6th of Kennet and Mary Swinton.³ He married Hon. Mary Balfour, daughter of Robert Balfour, 4th Lord Balfour of Burleigh and Margaret Melville, on 6 August 1714.^1,3 He died on 8 August 1747.¹
     He fought in the War of Spanish Succession, in Flanders.³ He gained the rank of Major in 1715 in the Regiment raised by Glasgow to support the Hanoverians.³ He lived at Kennet, Clackmannanshire, Scotland^G.³

     Alexander Bruce was born on 17 July 1755.¹ He was the son of Robert Bruce, Lord Kennet and Helen Abercromby.¹ He married unknown daughter Blackburn, daughter of Hugh Blackburn, on 13 February 1793.¹ He died on 12 July 1808 at age 52 at Kennet, Clackmannanshire, Scotland^G.¹
     He was a merchant at China^G.¹ He lived at Kennet, Clackmannanshire, Scotland^G.²

     unknown daughter Blackburn was born on 13 August 1768 at Killearn, Stirlingshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Blackburn.¹ She married Alexander Bruce, son of Robert Bruce, Lord Kennet and Helen Abercromby, on 13 February 1793.¹ She died in December 1851 at age 83 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹
     From 13 February 1793, her married name became Bruce.¹

     Robert Bruce was born on 8 December 1795.¹ He was the son of Alexander Bruce and unknown daughter Blackburn.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Murray, daughter of William Murray and unknown Spiers, on 12 April 1825.² He married, secondly, Jane Hamilton Fergusson, daughter of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 22 April 1848 at Clackmannanshire, Scotland^G.² He died on 13 August 1864 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Peninsular Wars.¹ He gained the rank of officer in December 1813 in the British Army.¹ He fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1820 in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Clackmannanshire between 1820 and 1824.¹ He claimed the Lordship Balfour of Burleigh, but died before the case was decided.³ He lived at Kennet, Clackmannanshire, Scotland^G.³

     Elizabeth Sverbeeva was born on 28 August 1923. She is the daughter of Vladimir Sergeievich Sverbeev and Countess Mariya Alekseievna Belevskya-Zhukovskya. She married, firstly, Alexander Tarsaide on 9 November 1947 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G. She and Alexander Tarsaide were divorced in 1953. She married, secondly, Charles Byron-Patrikiades on 9 May 1965 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G.
     From 9 November 1947, her married name became Tarsaide. From 9 May 1965, her married name became Byron-Patrikiades.

     Alexander Tarsaide was born on 22 June 1901 at Tiflis, Georgia^G. He married Elizabeth Sverbeeva, daughter of Vladimir Sergeievich Sverbeev and Countess Mariya Alekseievna Belevskya-Zhukovskya, on 9 November 1947 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G. He and Elizabeth Sverbeeva were divorced in 1953. He died on 18 March 1978 at age 76 at New York, U.S.A.^G.

     Charles Byron-Patrikiades was born on 15 December 1919. He married Elizabeth Sverbeeva, daughter of Vladimir Sergeievich Sverbeev and Countess Mariya Alekseievna Belevskya-Zhukovskya, on 9 May 1965 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G.

     Hugh Blackburn lived at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Anne Murray was the daughter of William Murray and unknown Spiers.¹ She married Robert Bruce, son of Alexander Bruce and unknown daughter Blackburn, on 12 April 1825.¹ She died on 19 May 1846 at Kennet, Clackmannanshire, Scotland^G, without issue.^1,2
     From 12 April 1825, her married name became Bruce.¹

     William Murray lived at Polmaise^G.¹ He lived at Touchadam^G.¹
