     Maria Augusta Hawkins was the daughter of John Hawkins.¹ She married Reverend Thomas George Onslow, son of Reverend Arthur Cyril Onslow and Elizabeth Winnington, on 22 September 1853.¹ She died on 27 February 1857.¹
     From 22 September 1853, her married name became Onslow.¹

     John Hawkins lived at Byelands, Hertfordshire, England.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Sir William Henry Onslow was born on 28 September 1863.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas George Onslow and Mary Frances Burton.¹ He married Margaret Beatrice Bates, daughter of Thomas Bates, on 15 December 1899.¹ He died on 19 June 1929 at age 65.¹
     He fought in the Boer War in 1900.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.¹

     Margaret Beatrice Bates was the daughter of Thomas Bates.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Sir William Henry Onslow, son of Reverend Thomas George Onslow and Mary Frances Burton, on 15 December 1899.¹ She died on 14 August 1954.¹
     From 15 December 1899, her married name became Onslow.¹

     Thomas Bates lived at Aydon, Northumberland, England.¹

     Margaret Isobel Onslow is the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir William Henry Onslow and Margaret Beatrice Bates.¹ She married Commander Reginald Foster Pitt Maton on 14 July 1923.¹
     From 14 July 1923, her married name became Maton.¹

     Commander Reginald Foster Pitt Maton married Margaret Isobel Onslow, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir William Henry Onslow and Margaret Beatrice Bates, on 14 July 1923.¹ He died on 21 February 1965.¹
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Phipps Vansittart Onslow was born on 2 September 1790.¹ He was the son of Very Rev. Arthur Onslow and Frances Phipps.¹ He married, firstly, Harriet Winnington, daughter of Sir Edward Winnington, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Anne Foley, on 21 July 1820.¹ He married, secondly, Lucy Moseley, daughter of Walter Michael Moseley, on 20 February 1834.¹ He died on 10 May 1867 at age 76.¹

     Harriet Winnington was the daughter of Sir Edward Winnington, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Anne Foley.¹ She married Phipps Vansittart Onslow, son of Very Rev. Arthur Onslow and Frances Phipps, on 21 July 1820.¹ She died on 5 March 1827.¹
     From 21 July 1820, her married name became Onslow.¹
