He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1881 with a Master of Surgery (C.M.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Pechell, of Paglesham, co. Essex [G.B., 1797] on 9 February 1904.1 He was Deputy Surgeon in 1914 at Royal Hospital, Chehsea, London, England.
