     Adam Cuninghame, 2nd of Caprington was born circa 1426.1 He was the son of Adam Cuninghame, 1st of Caprington and unknown daughter Wallace.1 He died in 1497.1
     Circa 1488 he obtained various charters under the Great Seal of Scotland.1

     In 1431 he was a hostage for King James I in place of Sir William Douglas of Drumlanrig.1
