Hamar Alfred Bass1 
Hamar Alfred Bass was born on 30 July 1842.1 He was the son of Michael Thomas Bass and Eliza Jane Arden.3,1 He married Hon. Louisa Bagot, daughter of William Bagot, 3rd Baron Bagot of Bagot’s Bromley and Hon. Lucia Caroline Elizabeth Agar-Ellis, on 22 February 1879.3 He died on 8 April 1898 at age 55.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tamworth between 1878 and 1885.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Staffordshire between 1885 and 1898.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He lived at Byrkley Lodge, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, EnglandG.3
