Henri, 3rd Duc de Montmorency was born on 15 June 1534 at Chantilly, France.2 He was the son of Anne, 1st Duc de Montmorency and Madeleine di Savoia.2 He married, firstly, Antoinette de La Marck, daughter of Robert IV de La Marck.2 He married, secondly, Louise de Budos on 29 March 1593 at Agde, France.2,3 He died on 2 April 1614 at age 79 at Agde, France.2
He held the office of Maréchal de France.3 He held the office of Governor of Languedoc between 1563 and 1614.2 He gained the title of Duc de Montmorency in 1579.1
